writer’s block – go-dog-go cafe prompt
Of course, Natalie Goldberg is right when she says just keep your hand moving – but like any other advice that is no good until you feel it – in the bones of your intention;
complementing that advice, for me, was what a fellow participant in an online painting course said – there is no such thing as procrastination – it will mature. Oops – that was not exactly in the spirit of the teacher there, her mind was more of the keep-hand-moving school – but it stayed with me. Whatever the project is, it will start. Yes, it is easy to miss the creative impulse day by day but – the project will start. If you can’t work on it now, at least hold the intention. That was actually some other piece of advice picked up along the way. Don’t know who said that….

I like Natalie’s perspective in that you have to feel it – in the bones of your intention. Also, I like this, as well. “if you can’t work on it now, at least hold the intention”. Thank you for sharing.

for once, I may have to claim having coined that phrase, albeit in drawing together what Natalie elaborates. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
