*Apanasana = Yoga pose pulling knees to chest and embracing them while lying on the back; I am beginning to follow what I understand as yoga teacher Matt Sanford’s impulse – even with adaptive forms (in cases of mobility issues), the practitioner can sense themselves being. This may result in deeper intuition or even insight through attention on the surrounding space created by the movement. Thus, as Matt puts it, we experience being deeper and as more meaningful (even in crisis), grounded and protected e.g. from negative views of those around us. (These are my words and thoughts. Ultimately, it is always possible that I misunderstand Matt’s intention).
