  • this poem is dedicated to DIY Poets Nottingham

Fellows for moments

allow me to dip in and hear

– inside beauty

Times are – in my van

I turn the radio off to

see more clearly

Teacher took her own life,

learning haiku from her book –

hear the beach in the night

Passion inside sarcasm –

I touch hope

trampled upon

Humour in the nonsensical –

I taste freedom

of the everyday

Curiosity senses the insight:

love overrules

small gods
