Jack Dee – found poem: What’s wrong with me

After the first gig,

I found myself on my motorbike

all the way home,

under the helmet,

screaming: that’s

what’s wrong with me:

I am a comedian!

  1. listening to him on the radio, telling the story of his feeling lost as a young man, this extract struck me for the creative four-fold leap: Firstly, the comedian intuits something new, secondly, he acknowledges the view of something wrong ‘, then he acknowledges the as-is reality and then, in the joy he transcends any ‘wrong’ in that reality. And yet, he may not be conscious of all of that.
