Emotional Recovery through Paradox and Solitude – May 2014

Reading, again, last night some of the contributions in the AA booklet ‘Came To Believe…’ reminded me of my own journey, slow, with detours and getting lost en route more times than I care to admit, to acknowledging and living with my depth, clarity and wide-open love.
What had kept me suspended in hope – turned transformation in 1985; – before, there was a world, with a village, a farm-yard turned residential feminist college, the road to the cemetery through the November mist. Afterwards, there is the world…

  1. quite a few, if not the majority of the essays in that booklet speak of a faith beyond religion – a Light, a Trust a Love coming into the person’s life as a fulfilled promise and an undeniable gentle imperative.

  2. that a certain point can be named ‘transformation’ is not to say that the need for healling stops after – far from it.
